I bought this chair at our local flea market after eyeing it up for several weeks. When it didn't sell, I finally took the plunge. Lucky for me, it was only a $5.00 plunge. :)
The material was stained and pretty stinky.
On the back, someone had re-stapled the material.
I tore off the material the same day I got it home and started working. Unfortunately, I didn't take photos of the entire process. After I took off all the old upholstery, I painted the frame with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White and distressed it with a sander. For the new upholstery, I used a drop cloth. I cut pieces using the old stuff for a pattern. The most difficult part was sewing the cushion cover because my sewing machine doesn't deal well with thick material.
And the finished chair...
